Brunch for two on Sunday. It was fairly empty at 11:30am which was nice as we could hear ourselves talk. Later, it started getting pretty noisy to the point we had to start talking much louder. The ambiance is cute and cozy with props taking you into a bygone era. We ordered the unshaking beef and eggs, and the coconut milk French toast. The unshaking beef with garlic butter Thai chili sauce, with rosemary potatoes was the clear winner. The coconut milk French toast with brioche was also a nice complement to the savory dish. All in all, I would return to try their dinner menu options.
Yummy. Slay. Waitress was so kind to turn down the music for me a bit bc I'm hard of hearing.
I adore this place. The food is exceptional- authentic, flavorful, fresh. The lamb buns and imperial rolls are superb. The best I've had. They pour a great cocktail and there is a great variety of liquor, wine, and beer. The ambiance is stylish and arty but not stuffy or gimmicky. Very attentive and warm service. I chose to have my big 60th birthday party here with 40 guests and it was a great evening.
Bricolage was excellent. The food totally lived up to the hype. Every dish was packed with flavor, from the delicious summer rolls to the surprisingly flavorful charred eggplant salad. And the spicy garlic noodles were a fantastic main, blending a unique combination of sour, sweet, and savory into a delicious meal. The menu is a bit on the pricey side, but you definitely get your money's worth in terms of quality dishes. I'll be coming back for sure!
We came to Bricolage as a party of 8 on a Saturday morning for brunch and had no issues getting a table. They weren't busy as there were only 3 other tables in use at the time. We sat in the back patio where we were able to admire the rustic décor of clocks, TVs, and lamps all along the walls. We ordered the: Five Spiced Fried Chicken & Waffles ($24) - Included a flatter fried dark meat chicken on top of a waffle, with a side of sriracha butter and maple syrup. The chicken wasn't dry, and it paired very well with the sriracha butter. Coconut Milk French Toast ($22) - Included homemade brioche, cinnamon coconut milk, fresh fruit (apple slices, grapefruit, strawberry), candied pecans, and a side of syrup. So fluffy and delicious. House Made Five Spice Apple Cider ($7) - We ordered the hot version, and you can taste the additional spices inside compared to regular apple cider. It is a little pricy, but they did a great job incorporating Vietnamese and French style into their dishes. We don't come to Brooklyn often but wouldn't mind returning in the future.
I can't believe I've never written a review about this place. It's definitely one of the top 3 restaurants in Park Slope and definitely one of the best in the city. I've been here several times, and here are some of my favorite things about it: - There are actual mixologists working here, so the cocktails are great. - The back yard area is one of the coolest-decorated places I've seen in the entire city. - The retro TVs in the bathroom make you feel like you're stepping into a time machine - all details are accounted for here. - But most of all, the FOOD. It's always great. Whether you come here for dinner or brunch. I've tried almost everything on the dinner menu and there has never been anything that wasn't outstanding. I've also met the chef, Lien Lin, on one visit here, who is from Vietnam, and she is lovely. Came here for brunch this weekend for the first time and of course everything was outstanding. We ordered: - The Thai Basil Gimlet: always a good decision - Crispy Imperial Rolls appetizer: phenomenal - House Salmon Potato Cake brunch special: delicious and so was the cider that came with the meal - My friend ordered the Banh Xeo and loved it. I will continue to patronize this place as long as it's around.
Each time I dine here, I'm impressed by their professionalism, cleanliness, and ambiance through Miro's, one of the owner's art. We got to sit in their back garden that was quite enchanting with all their artistic decor. We had papaya salad, lamb shank curry, and soft shell crab salad. All three dishes were the best I've tasted, Vietnamese style. It's evident they have a European (French?) element to their cooking. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. Thank you for having us!
